First Across the Finish Line
Julia, an established member of the Handepay sales team is set to make history by becoming one of the first 5000 runners to cross the finishing line at the new National Olympic Park in London. Julia intends to raise money for the Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham and Chesters’ Hospice of the Good Shepherd – two charities close to her home town of Chester.
This event takes place at the National Olympic Park in London on 31st March 2012, Julia will make history by being one of the first people in the world to cross this famous finishing line.
Julia says ‘this is a fantastic opportunity for me personally and I am so grateful for the chance to raise much needed funds for these local charities’.
Julia who has taken part in charity runs before is delighted to be involved in this event. The five mile route will give her the chance to marvel at the massive scale of the Olympic Village and take in some of the surrounding scenery before entering the stadium and onto the home straight!
