Handepay recognised for outstanding Customer Commitment at the St Helens Chamber Business Awards

Handepay has been awarded with the 2019 Customer Commitment Award at the St Helens Chamber Annual Dinner & Business Awards, which took place on 16th May at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

St. Helens Chamber Business Awards TrophyThe Customer Commitment award recognises businesses that put customer service and care at the centre of what they do and demonstrate excellence and commitment in the ever important area of customer service.

The judges were looking for a business that demonstrated evidence of strong business performance, how customer care is tied into staff development plans and how this has driven business growth.

Despite trading in an extremely competitive environment Handepay has grown considerably. We have recognised the customer service frustrations that business owners face in the merchant services industry, making it our mission to be different by offering an excellent support system.

The judges were impressed by our glowing reviews and testimonials on Trustpilot, which demonstrate an Excellent customer satisfaction rating from over 5,000 reviews.

Our team with the Employer of the Year certificateMark Latham, Chief Commercial Officer of Handepay, said: “Many companies are frustrated by the poor service that they receive from their merchant services supplier. At Handepay, we pride ourselves on providing a helpful and easy to access support system for all customers.

We are thrilled to be recognised for the effort we put into providing the best possible service to independent businesses in the UK.”

Handepay will now be entered into the national Chamber Business Awards, with the finals taking place in London in November.

Graham Worsley, Chairman of St Helens Chamber, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the volume and calibre of entries to the Awards this year so the judges really did have a difficult job on their hands, but I believe we have found some truly outstanding winners.

For me the Awards are about the strength of the businesses and personal stories here in the Borough. They are about bringing those successes to the forefront, and publicising all their good work and achievements.

I’m also delighted that the winners from our Awards will go forward to the national British Chambers of Commerce Awards and I fully expect at least one local business will be shortlisted for the national Awards in London in November.

From last year’s awards four Chamber Members successfully went on to become Regional Award Winners and made it through to the national finals, where two were National Runners up. So best of luck to all the winners and we will eagerly await news of the outcome of the regional finals in September.”
