At Handepay, we’re committed to ensuring you receive up-to-date technology to protect your business and your customers. We have contacted you to advise how we are supporting you with upgrading your card payment machine.
Why do I need to upgrade?
We have contacted you to advise you that your existing card machine will need to be replaced to ensure it is operating an up-to-date industry security standard*.
Although your card machine may appear to be working properly, from December 2023 it will no longer be supported by the manufacturer and will not receive any further software or security updates. This means that if the card machine fails, it will not be able to be fixed and will need to be upgraded to ensure it is secure.
*Your card payment machine continues to remain compliant with the required minimum operational security standards.
Information and Support
What should I do when I receive my new card machine?
You can follow the instructions provided in the box to install the card machine as soon as you receive it. Before setting up your new card machine, please ensure you have performed an end of day settlement on your old card machine.
Within 72 hours of receiving your new card machine you will also receive a welcome call from Castles Technical Helpdesk who will help you to install and set up your new card machine if you have not already done so.
Your old card machine will be switched off by the leasing company (Merchant Rentals Ltd) within 11 working days after safe receipt of your new card machine. Please dispose of or recycle your old card machine safely, it will no longer be required, and we do not need you to return it to us.

Transaction data is available via the Business Resource Centre (BRC) for EVO acquired customers. Should you require support to access BRC please contact [email protected] The BRC will update as normal with payment details on the next working day provided the terminal is settled on a daily basis.
EVO Payments will publish the schedule of their 2023 merchants payment schedule on their website for expected Bank Holiday settlement timescales www.evopayments.co.uk
