Countertop credit card machines

UK Finance reports that approximately only one third of payments nowadays are made via cash, so if you’re not already accepting card payments - you could be in danger of being left behind.

Countertop card machines are an important asset for all kinds of businesses, and when you set up with Handepay - you won’t have to pay any hidden charges.

With Handepay it's simple...

  • Flexible contract lengths starting from one-month rolling for switchers
  • Accept contactless payments including Apple Pay, Google Pay & Samsung Pay
  • Improve cash flow and get your money the next banking day*
  • No minimum monthly service charge (MMSC)
  • No fees for PCI DSS compliance or non-compliance
  • Free Business Resource Centre

*The accelerated settlement service incurs a fee of £4 per month charged by EVO, our card acquirer. Providing your card machine performs a reconciliation before 12am (midnight), you’ll receive settlement of funds the next banking day.

Countertop card machines are exactly as their name suggests - card machines that sit on the countertop at the point of sale.

It’s your traditional face-to-face card payment method. The countertop card machine sits on the counter - so it takes up very little space.

You can imagine the types of businesses that use these types of machines. Typically, you’ll find that countertop machines are best adopted from fixed premises - one single location, where all card payments are made.

This could include:

  • Accountants
  • Bridal Shops
  • Cafes
  • Chemists
  • Convenience Stores
  • Dry Cleaners
  • Gift Shops
  • Jewellers
  • Opticians
  • Restaurants
  • Bed and Breakfasts
