I feel confident knowing I’ve got the support from Handepay

Before opening Balm Jewellery more than 10 years ago in Lydney, Gloucestershire, Sarah worked at Tourist Crafts when a unit came up for rent. Previously with another provider, Sarah moved suppliers through Handepay over a year ago. Though Sarah already had a card machine through Handepay, the expansion of her store meant that she needed more than one card machine.

“I started Balm Jewellery selling my homemade products, but over time I grew the business to also sell secondhand jewellery, homemade candles, reed diffusers, wax melts and more.”

“The shop was quite small at first, but in July I doubled the size of the store. Before expanding it was only myself, and everyone would come to the area where I make homemade candles to pay. I didn’t have a card machine there, so would have to take them over to another till area for payments.”

Now we have the Saturn Android Smart Terminal, and my assistant loves it! Yet we both feel that it is quick and just overall easy to understand.”

“Recently there was a flea market in the area and having the Saturn Android Smart Terminal was a massive help as the shop was quite busy. Having the terminal also means that we don’t have to keep customers waiting. Because of COVID, many want to pay for their things and go as the shop is still quite small, and some of my customers are cautious. Plus, it will be a great addition for the Christmas period which can get extremely busy.”

“I was with my previous provider for around 10 years before I switched with Handepay last year. I wasn’t looking for a new merchant provider at the time, and I avoided getting a new card machine as I wasn’t ready to be tied into long term contracts. I was also wary of moving to a new provider as I didn’t know how long my shop would be open for.”

“But when Paul Myrosz came into the business, it was the right place, right time and I really liked what he had to offer. He’s really friendly and he’s also a local person, so I know he’s there if anything goes wrong. Paul also helped me install the Saturn Android Smart Terminal. If I had to install it by myself, I would have been so worried that something would go wrong. But having Paul there meant that I knew he would make sure it worked properly.”

“Since signing through Handepay, my overall experience has been positive. I feel confident knowing that if I need anything, I’ve got the support from Paul and Handepay.”
