Handepay smash “It’s A Knockout” for The Steve Prescott Foundation
On Sunday 12th June 2016, a team of Handepay employees took part in the thrills and spills of It’s A Knockout at Thatto Heath Crusaders ARLFC in a bid to raise funds for the Steve Prescott Foundation and support their Million Pound Year.
Further to celebrating a decade in business in May 2016, Handepay pledged to donate £10,000 to the Steve Prescott Foundation over the next year, kick-started by an initial £1,000 donation at the company’s ten year anniversary celebration and followed closely by Sunday’s It’s A Knockout event.
The day featured a series of games on a giant inflatable obstacle course and was full of fun, laughter (and foam!) with teams competing on a knockout basis to win the competition.
Twenty Handepay employees took part in the competition in two teams, raising a massive £848.10 through sponsorships from friends and family.
At the end of an exciting but challenging day the team’s determination paid off, as it was revealed Handepay’s “Team 2” scored the most points and were crowned the winners of the competition, awarded with a trophy as well as medals and Steve Prescott Foundation hoodies.
The fun and games were topped off with live music from indie band Stillia and The Patriots.
Handepay will raise the rest of the £10,000 through a mixture of fundraising activities over the course of the next year.
