Handepay receive Customer Commitment Award!

Handepay win Chamber Business Wards 2019 Regional WinnerWe’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been crowned the winner of the Customer Commitment Award in the North West heats of the Chamber Business Awards 2019!

Now in their 16th year, the Awards are a highlight of the business calendar, recognising the key role that local businesses play in driving the UK economy. We will now go forward to represent the North West in the national finals, which take place in London in November.

Our dedication to providing the best customer support to independent businesses across the UK was a key factor in our win.

Handepay’s competitive pricing has made card payment acceptance simpler and more affordable for independent business owners. We’re dedicated to making sure that our customers can maximise their profits, paying low fees without concealed extra charges.

Our Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Latham, said: “We’re dedicated to helping independent business owners across the country access card payment technology in a cost-effective manner. Accepting cards is vital for businesses in today’s marketplace, with cash usage falling each year.

Being recognised with the Customer Commitment Award from the British Chambers of Commerce is a great achievement, and proof that our proposition is one of the best on the market.”

The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) sits at the heart of a powerful network of 53 Accredited Chambers of Commerce across the UK, representing thousands of businesses of all sizes and within all sectors.

The Chamber Business Awards is one of the UK’s most contested and prestigious business award programmes. Each year, from Aberdeen to Cornwall, organisations of all sizes and sectors compete for the coveted titles and the national recognition they bring.

Francis Martin, President of the British Chambers of Commerce, said: “The Chamber Business Awards are a great opportunity to celebrate the best of British business. Across the country, there are firms of all sizes and sectors thriving and showing their innovation and adaptability, even in the midst of turbulent times.

Our businesses communities continue to generate prosperity and opportunity so it’s only right that we support and shout about the fantastic things they are doing.

Each year the calibre of applicants impresses our judges, and this pool of entrants was no different. All our finalists should be proud of their success in reaching this stage and we wish them the very best of luck.”

Four other companies from St. Helens have celebrated wins at the regional awards and will also be represented at the national final in November.

Kath Boullen, Chief Executive of St Helens Chamber, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to have so many local businesses celebrating success at the regional heats. All the winners are thoroughly well deserved and are shining examples of the best of St Helens businesses and the dedication of the people behind them.

When we first started the St Helens Chamber Business Awards we hoped that they would give local companies a national platform on which to celebrate their successes, and I’m thrilled that they are doing just that.

We now wish all five businesses the best of luck as they move on to the national final and are optimistic for more good news in November."

The 2019 Chamber Business Awards culminate in a Gala Dinner that takes place on Thursday 28th November 2019 at Tobacco Dock in London. The awards are proudly supported by Facebook, Bibby Financial Services, DHL Express, Stagecoach, London Stock Exchange, Dell, Indeed, RADA in Business and Quest.
